The closest thing to analog CD music
The most important thing that affects an AAD mastered CD is the original source. The masters used are the original unprocessed analog masters, the same masters used for AAD mastered CDs and vinyl LPs. 1:1 AAD mastered CDs are digital copies of the analog masters.
In order to minimize the number of conversions and to avoid any additional processing, we use the most direct mastering as a digital conversion: a STUDER A80 mastering recorder used in professional recording studios in the analog era, and a HHB CDR-830 PRO professional mastering desktop recorder for 1:1 AAD burning. The music signal from the open recorder is directly connected to the HHB CDR-830 PRO mastering recorder, and the CD audio data is burned directly to the HHB Professional Studio 24k gold mastering CD-R. The analog audio signal is burned directly to a 16 bit/44.1kHz CD audio format without any post-processing.
The mastering process is almost the same as the mastering process. In order to maximize the sound quality of the master tapes and minimize the loss of sound quality in the intermediate production process, the mastering process is done in an unbelievable way to maximize the fidelity of the master tapes – burning manually, only one disc can be produced at a time, and thus the production method of mastering is exactly the same as the mass machine production method. The production method of mastering is completely different from that of batch machine production. Due to the special way of production, mastering is rare.
