Jim Reeves was born and raised in Galloway, Texas, one of nine children in the family. During these years he worked as a record announcer and news broadcaster on KGRI, and in November 1952 moved to KWKH in Shreveport, where he became the host of the station’s popular Louisiana Hayride program.In late 1952 he was warmly accepted by his listeners after he sang once as a replacement for Hank Williams, who had been unable to appear on one of the columns of the program. Abbott Records immediately signed him to a recording contract, and the first song he recorded was “Mexican Joe”. The song quickly climbed to the top of the charts in the spring of 1953 and stayed there for nine weeks, followed by another hit, “Bimbo,” still in 1953. At the end of 1953, he became a regular performer on the Louisiana Hayride program. In 1954 and 1955 he recorded four more hits for Abbott and his parent company, Fabor Records. This string of successes shows that he was not a flash-in-the-pan musician.

9. 为什么不是ABC（国际）唱片发行的所有唱片都支持下载？
